Classification of capacitors

By the nature of the work, there are three types of capacitors: constant, tuning (half-variables) and variables.
Constant capacitors are classified by type of dielectric and rated voltage.

USSR capacitors classification

The capacitor notation system consists of three elements:
  1. The letters К are a constant capacitor; КП - a variable capacitor; КТ - tuning capacitor; КН - nonlinear (varicond)
  2. Numbers indicating the material of the dielectric and the group according to the operating voltage (see table)
  3. Numbers indicating the type of capacitor

Classification of capacitor designations by the second element.

The marking of USSR-made capacitors can be either alphanumeric, containing an abbreviation for the above parameters, or color.
Large capacitors are marked in the following order: type, rated capacitance, multiplier, tolerance, rated operating voltage.
